Meet Anel Hared

Psychotherapist & Registered Nurse

I am a psychotherapist, Registered Social Worker and Registered Nurse with over a decade of experience supporting people across mental health, psychosis recovery, emergency medicine, and community-based care.

As a Somali-Canadian, Muslim woman and the daughter of refugees, I understand how culture, faith, family, and identity can shape the way people experience themselves and the world. My own experiences navigating different cultural and social environments shape how I approach therapy with openness, curiosity, and respect for the complexity of people’s lives.

I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, addiction, grief, identity concerns, and major life transitions. Many people come to therapy feeling disconnected from themselves, uncertain how to move forward, or exhausted from trying to manage everything alone.

My approach to therapy is calm and collaborative. Together, we work to better understand patterns, process difficult experiences, and create changes that feel sustainable and meaningful over time.

Therapy should feel supportive, reflective and human, not rushed, clinical or performative.
